Muzibul Haque Kabir &  His Poetry ।। মুজিবুল হক কবীর ও তাঁর কবিতা

                                                   Hamid Rayhan

“Dazzling flowers blaze
and so do the tresses of hair
of the newly-wed spouse of a soldier
hidden within his pocket
as a token of memory.”
               [Gunpowder Reigns Over Flowers]

Muzibul Hoque Kabir, a poet of footprint of his time, and of 70’s in 20th century-Bangla poetry as good, precluded by higher powers along with the praise of the metrical uniform adherence to genuine, logical Bangla poetry  undoubtedly points out  an identical voice, unfolding a prolific tune of the time of his own.
Abid Azad, Abid Anwar, and as to all his latter poems of the poets of his time, Muzibul Haque Kabir is the exceptional in his work being not so huge and significant. Of specific excellence happens to appear to find out more and more undoubted specimens in his poetry, rather that these insight excellence of striking keys of poetry generated during the time of 70’s and afterwards are seen in the works of other poets. To me, it always remains a singular and noticeable fact that poetic style and its diversity in rhythemic differency  which leads his readers, not only as the best, but a the only commendable style proceeds from his poetrty, where dictions, next to those of Abid Anwar, Abid Azad, Golam Sobdar Siddiqee, Trideev Dostidar,Shihab Sarkar, Mouk Chowdhury, Kamal Chowdhury and Nasir Ahmed, appears to me of all others the most individualised and characterics by the purpose and objects which Mozibul Hoque Kabir, the poet may be he supposed to have intended.

“Confined to my quasi-dark room
I go on knitting the solitude
with a sharp needle of words,
an immovably heavy stone within my bosom
blood contains floodtide  of the spring,”
                                  [Phantom]

No hesitation do I have in declaring my conviction that the exultantit abundant in his poetry reaches his serious readers to a taste beyond deep unconscience understanding with a full passion of the poet’s genius, even in the other poems he intended to be more heartfelt wave there’re few in which it doesn’t occasionally burst forth, but there remains alone though of his workmanship, interferes with the processes of genuine portrayal of the contemprpary pictorial reality in a poet of true poetic vision. As we see this reality in his poem, like-

“You are no more,
that’s why the Rajanigandha bower is still restless,
tulip’s tops have not stooped
rather have stood firm defying the wind;
Ekalabya is at vigil throughout the world.

Swans glide in the water defying the mire,
their feathers remain unsoiled.
I too am clean and afloat like them
alien Ophelia comes in mental anguish
she fills my heart with love, kindness and compassion
the lust is subdued in restrained desire.”
       [Bishnu Dey]

Muzibul Hoque Kabir on the powers of metre in his poetry work is so highly ingenious and captures at all points on beauty hidden most of the verses of his poems. As far as metre acts, as in poems of other poets of his contemproray as in Abid Anwar, Nasir Ahmed, and Faruque Mahmud, in and for itself, it tends to increase the vivacity and susceptibility both of the natural feelings and of the attention as well. The effect it makes by the continued excitement of climax and clumsiness of the exciting world around the poets experience through the life they’re in, and by the quick and steady reciprocations of secrect curiousity having lust for life- the life displays the poet’s world, his all doings impulsed with physical images still gratified and rather winning, that his readers take into seriously consideration for yummy taste of poetry.
The revolt seen in Abid Azad’s poems with physical love raised beneath unconsciousness generated from the Spanish poetry, with no doubt surprisingly strikes the Bengali poetry readers at first sight, which later becomes pale in a low, icy voice being suffered due to infertility.Similarly, despite all the possibilities that poems of Abid Anwar blooms in poetic diction his poems portrays an intellectual realm in the readers’ mind whereas Nasir Ahmed’s poems drive the readers to a world of sweet romantic passions along with climax of the existing surroundings.
